The Beginning
Let’s introduce Aakash.
A guy from India who had no audience and no business in 2021.
He wanted to do something.
But he had no idea about what to do.
He did some research of various startup ideas.
And then he found that there is a demand for newsletter service.
He felt interested with this idea.
Then he tried to figure out what would the Topic of the newsletter.
He asked himself that what is my expertise.
At that time Aakash was working as a product manager.
So, he thought he might share his managerial experience and expertise on his newsletter.
So, he build…
The idea was simple.
He write an email everyday about the world of product management and shares anything new that he found is interesting.
How he Got his Subscribers ?
Aakash simply used X (Twitter) and Linkedin.
Every week, he wrote something interesting.
The biggest marketing strategy for him was consistency.
In his first Linkedin post he got only 60 likes and a few followers.
But now he has 205,000+ followers.
He kept posting using X (Twitter) and Linkedin both.
And his followers keeps growing.
After a year, he decided to make his newsletter business “Paid Service” instead of “Free”.
He started charging USD 15/month for his newsletter service.
And then, he launched a book on Amazon called “The Ultimate Guide to Getting A PM Job by Aakash Gupta”.
Story has not ended here.
He started a Product Management Course, Consultation call opportunies with him and may more.
Also, he created a Personal Brand focusing Product Management.
And think what?
Today, the business earns over USD 600,000/year.
Aakash is working in his business on full time basis.
