Paris Emily Nicholson and Saskia Teje Jenkins are two friends and business partners who first started the brand “Amelie Teje”. During the outset Emily was 26 years old and Teje was 25 years old.

They started Amelie Teje, a fashion brand, as side hustle by investing only  $ 2,500 each. Now the brand worth seven figures.

Early Career

Before starting the side hustle Nicholson was about to complete business marketing and event degree at the same time working as a part time retail and doing freelance digital marketing for a bunch of ecommerce brands.

Whereas Jenkins was about was a full time model. She worked in Los Angeles, London, Australia. She did not stay home for over a month a time.

Starting the Side Hustle

During the pandemic, both Nicole and Jenkins had to stay home for a long time.

As Nicole was working as a digital marketing, she quickly realized that she should work for herself  instead of other brands.

In the other hand, Jenkins was thinking about her future while staying at home in pandemic.

In 2020, two friends sit for a meeting and discussing their idea. From that day on they started working on the project with same vision.

Finally at the beginning of 2021, Amelie Teje started officially.

Initial Steps for the Startup

Business Name:

They started by searching a proper Brand Name that could represent them and their vision. They agreed to use both of their middle names as their brand name Amelie Teje.

Logo Design:

After selecting the Brand Name, they find a proper logo that would represent them properly.

Setup Vision:

They setup their vision to where they wanted to go.

Searching for Manufacturers & Vendors:

After setting up the vision, there were looking for Manufacturers & Vendors that would be best match for their brands.

Customer Research:

Both Nicole and Jenkins spend a huge time in research to find who will be their ideal customers.

Competitor & Competition Analysis:

Also they did a huge research on who will be their competitor and what will be their future competition.

Build Collections:

Finally, they started collecting designs and build an ideal product collections. They spent there most of their money to create a great collection.

Biggest Challenges

Nichole’s biggest challenges were doing daily job along with side business. That time she did not get any money from the business but she had to invest everything what she saved from her daily job.

Jenkins’ problem was almost same.  She did a Nine-Hour shooting and then she started working for her business.

Consistent Revenue from the Side Hustle

It took two years for Nicholson and Jenkins to see consistent monthly revenue from there side hustle.

Some month they got good number of sales and some month they did not get as they expected.

But after 2-year mark, they started seeing a consistent revenue mark.

During two years sales they managed to sell $ 549,993.32

Current Growth and Revenue Figure

Stats from  October-

Sales grew by 1,318%

Gross Profit increased by 472%

They are currently running a multimillion-dollar business.

Most Enjoyable Thing about running a Business

Both Nicholson and Jenkins share that working with best friend every day is the best enjoyable thing for them.

Sharing the same vision, working for the dream are the most valuable and enjoyable thing in there opinion.

Advice for the Others

As per Nicholson, one should Never give up. If you are passionate enough about something, it will work out how you envision it.

As per Jenkins, Just keep going is the main thing. If you’re truly passionate about whatever business you are starting, you won’t even see quitting as an option.
